‘Be Your Own Souvenir’ by blablabLAB
We have all been to the museum and I’m sure that quite a few of us have bought some sort of souvenir from the shop at the museum. It’s normally, a shirt of a plush toy with the name of the museum printed on the front. Maybe it was a key chain. Either way, it is normally something that comes from some factory where they get mass produced and there are no personal touches at all.
This is something that blablabLAB, from Barcelona, also noticed and they decided to something about it.
Thanks 3 Microsoft Kinect sensors, a 3D printer and the genius minds of blablabLAB, visitors now have the option of posing for their very own personalized museum souvenir.
The 3 Kinect sensors, which takes a 3D snapshot of the person, allows the lucky museum-goer to pose in any position imaginable. Once done the man or woman can buy a small 3D model of themselves in that pose. What a great idea for a personal memento!
